Let the honor of your student be as dear to you as your own.

“Rabbi Elazar ben Shammua said: Let the honor of your student be as dear to you as your own, and the honor of your colleague as the reverence for your teacher, and the reverence for your teacher as the reverence of heaven.”

Tractate of Avot 4:12

We should always respect others, even if they seem “inferior” to us. We must honor and value those who study along with us and genuinely revere our teachers because they help us advance in our spiritual journey. Furthermore, we must try to find good in everything and accept every sign of progress or blessing-no matter how small—with a deep sense of gratitude.

Gratitude and appreciation for everything, even when especially difficult or challenging, is the only way to reveal blessings.
