“Rabbi Yochanan HaSandlar said: Every gathering that is for the sake of heaven will in the end endure; and every gathering that is not for the sake of heaven will not endure in the end.”

Tractate of Avot 4:11

Any congregation with noble ideals, such as spreading light across the world and collecting the scattered divine sparks, is destined to prevail and succeed. Conversely, any congregation gathering for evil purposes will surely fail and disappear.

Diligence is the consistent series of choices we make to engage in spiritual work—to act, do, learn, and achieve more.
